    Leaks and more leaks

Ok, enough is enough. For those of you who live in the Melbourne area how much does your Defender leak or leaked and what was your fix if it is the latter.
    Cheers

    Cinders,

    What do you drive...?

If its older than a Puma, fit the Puma door seals for a start...

There is actually a whole book written on it!

Yeah, well it's an 02 110. Leaked from new and when I told the dealership that no longer exists in FTG, they said " What do you expect for $47,000." I said that my 1960 S2 leaked less and told them to shove their business.
So I'm thinking of pulling the roof off, then the middle section and silicone it all back together. Sound like a plan methinks.

I just sucked it up and just live with it.
I get worried if it doesn't leak.

I have been living with it for the last 12 years. I spose I'm saying that it would be nice to be able to drive without having to move your knee away from the door and also not worry about anything in the back getting wet.

    Hi,
When I was rich and famous (still working as a SM Rover Dealership), I did to say to some selected customers, “The way we test your LR for water ingress is to throw a canary inside overnight, if it escapes we consider it to have a water leak”. Having said that working as a SM with LR was the best job I had, and I know have a Defender Puma 2009, some say i’m a machinist!

Haha. I remember when I first got mine there were some rather large gaps around the foot well in the back. They were so big I nearly lost my RidgebackX but a bit of sheetmetal and silicone solved that.

My 2004 defender just developed a leak into the roof liner
The more sealer I apply the worse the leak gets, it now flows out from the roof liner and right down your right leg as you drive out the drive
Thank god I didn't seal up the holes in the floor
    I also live in Melbourne
