I got a standard one and cut it down too. Put a couple of slits in the middle to fit over suction cup mounts. Perfect fit.

I have the stock reflective one I have folded the base --thats all
it needed, no cutting etc, held in place by mirror etc
Folds nice and wedges between seat and box...total outlay $4.
And its about 2 years old and all good.. thats a lot for 130 bucks!
Try it first..no loss!
What did you guys use to protect the cut edges?
I was thinking of using a strip of that cloth tape (isn't that what they call duct tape?) around the cut edges to seal them off.
I use one of these, I think it was about $5 from Autobarn and didn't need to be cut, has a nice edge and just made one fold for fitting. It's also quick and easy to fold it away. (like digger said)

Hi Phill, another vote here for the basic sun shade that is folded on the bottom. Works we'll.
Those items look very professional,...problem is, they're on the inside, & they're far too expensive.
To solve your issue, which is a real one, do what I did.
Just go to a rubber store & get some silver/grey UV resistant plastic/rubber sheet, just the thin stuff, like they make tents out of etc, & cut out the shape of your windscreen with a tab on each side to fit into the door opening. This will keep all the heat off your dashboard, BEFORE it (the heat) gets through the glass, & into your car.....it'll probably cost you $5.
Here's a picture of mine being left at Perth Airport...
I got these things for free in a corporate "goody bag" some sales rep dropped off at my work. They are actually for the side windows, but as you can see, they work perfectly as a permanent solution.
Quick and easy to place and takes up no space behind the passenger set and the 90's bulkhead replacement bar.
Cheers,
Lou
