    The first one is lasercut sheet. It has a much lower void area and lower airflow than is ideal.

    A mesh version like the one in the 2nd link is a better idea.

    I don't think those prices are that cheap. If you buy from a scrap metal dealer the materials will only be about $3/kg, add in some welding rods and cutting discs...

    If you aren't in a hurry just wait for Stage 1 grille to show up, that's what I did (not fitted yet, it's currently waiting for the next lot of galvanising to go through). IMO they look better than the aftermarket alternatives anyway.
