Thread: 2002 130 Defender Crankshaft Pulley

Have a metallic clack noise at idle, Does this point to pulley ? it only does it at idle, few revs and ok. Getting tired of this vehicle. Rear diff gone, fretted axles, gearbox, t/case, manifold, starter motor, fuel pressure reg. the list goes on. Not flogged only 160,000 k's.

Could be the harmonic balancer. Is the crank pulley wobbling? Its an expensive part unfortunately and hard to get. Dont buy a cheap one... if it goes wrong it can snap the crank.
