ha ha i haver no idea why my text comes out bold all the time?

    it looks like im shouting.

just the way it seems to come out.

i checked the bellhousing to make sure it wasnt blocked it wasnt there was grease at the bottom inside the plugs but it was still in tact and reasonable working order.

you dont get your hands dirty and ask dumb questions you dont learn mate.

i just finished rebuilding an XS650 engine from scratch, rephased the whole engine from a 360* to 277* full ground up rebuild...

try doing that without asking a few questions.

If i blow the deefer up i'll concede you were right till then ....

As a mechanic said to me
" I don't mind people asking stupid questions. It's the people who think they know it all and don't ask questions that bother me"
Then there's the other side of the coin i.e. too many tools and not enough knowledge etc etc..... I've fallen into this category myself the odd time
So the moral of the story is ASK AWAY!

There are no stupid questions.. ...it was Duarte19's kind advice that averted an unnecessary call to the service centre. Next time blackapache will help someone else out. We've all had that moment when we fear the worst! ...it's awesome that you're checking the basics yourself blackapache.

Well done for giving it a go, we were not all born knowing every thing. I was lucky to be born into a family of limited means. We could not afford to pay someone else to do anything which could otherwise be done by mum or dad. This provided plenty of opportunities to learn about things like basic mechanics as the older cars we could afford needed maintenance/repairs which were done by dad. I learnt about fractions passing dad spanners.
