I guess if I end up fitting bumperettes they'll be the Mulgo ones then as I don't want to buy something and then have to cut them up especially considering the price.
Did anyone with a 90 who has fitted Mulgo bumperettes have any troubles with the mud flaps?
Can anyone with an iSi bike carrier confirm whether you have enough clearance with the wheel carrier. I have been looking at it for use both on the car and my camper trailer but my camper trailer spare sits out about 300mm and I haven't been able to get a clear answer from George as to whether it will fit.Quote:

This appears to be different to those bought direct from the UK (due to the different exhaust/mudflap arrangement there). You can see the lack of cut-out on the photo in this link Defender 90 Terrafirma Rear Bumper Corners P.O.A TF570, which is the same as that on the Terrafirma online shop. Not sure if this is the same for all other UK sellers, but I suspect so. Would be a very east mod to do if you have bought/want to buy from the UK though.
Anyway, trickiest thing was getting the bolts through the tight angle between the rear cylindrical bar and the mounting bracket (and backing them out enough to insert into the holes in the rear crossmember). I chipped some powdercoat off the bumperette doing this. For mounting, you will need to remove and re-use the two existing bolts that anchor the seatbelt bar ? these go through the outermost supporting bracket. There is a crush tube there that may slip out of position when you remove them. Supplied bolts go through the inside mounting bracket holes into existing (empty) holes in the crossmember.
Much easier if you remove the mudflap bracket (with mudflap) before you fit them ? I fitted the LHS without doing this, but couldn't on the RHS.
Very solid bit of protection kit, and looks alright too I reckon:

Only issue with the cut out is it renders the side protection as useful as a Sore arse to a boundary rider.
They can now be knocked in easily to the side panel...

Fair point Tombie, however it may be better to have some rather than no protection, the damage would be worse without, I would think.
