						Hi guys,
I've just purchased a high capacity sump for my transfer case. I need to know whether I need a gasket to attach this part or do I just use gasket sealant?
I've looked through the internet and also through the workshop manual.
Thanks!

						Either.
i used ultrablue and no gasket, hasnt leaked
The grey three bond works a treat.
Cheers
Michael.
tip: let the gasket sealant cure properly before filling up. In some circumstances the gasket may not seal properly allowing oil to weep out. For the sake of an hour or 2 it may save you a redo.
Also another thing you might want to do before fitting. I taped a thermo sensor into the sump to hook up to a temp gauge. I'm yet to wire in the Madman EMS but the TFC sensor is one less job.

I've been looking into doing this. Would tapping something like this in there be suitable?
OIL Water Temperature Sensor Universal FOR Aftermarket Instruments AND Gauges | eBay
Or do I need a specific temperature sensor?
Thanks everyone for your help.
Hi David,
The one supplied with a Madman EMS2 is a VDO 150 Degree C. sensor.
The one in this link should suffice for your needs - http://http://www.vdo-instruments.co...-4-18nptf.html
The one in your link appears to be a "no name" brand and to be honest I would be going for a reputable brand like VDO.

What temp range would you expect the tfr to be operating in, both for obtaining the right range sensor and display.
I imagine somewhere around 100 degrees/110 max - although I am standing by to be corrected. I'm sure someone will chip in with greater knowledge (BLKnight/Rick130 etc)
