Moving defender door seals

You have the 20mm lip all around the door (except for the bottom on the later models) and self adhesive HD foam strip sticks pretty well if you prepare the surface with turps to remove any wax.

Both my my 300Tdi I drove around Northern Zambia and the last one in the UK had the seal on the doors. In Zambia to combat water streaming in unabated while driving on the near endless 500mm to 600mm deep flood plains during the rainy season. In the UK mainly to stop my right butt cheek freezing from the sub zero temperature wind sneaking through the door gaps!

I experimented with fitting seals I got from Clark Rubber to the doors themselves, rather than to the body, but I found it made the doors stick out too far when I shut them.
So, instead, I just fitted a strip to the bottom of the door openings.
As well as improving the sealing at the bottom, it also seems that having the bottom of the door out slightly further has caused the top of the door to angle in slightly more against the seal on the top of the door opening and reduced wind noise. So, killed two birds with one stone.
