I should also highlight that the set up below has both running off the thermal controller (which you set by rotating the dial until you find the setting you want. Mine is now actually set up with one on the controller and 1 hooked up directly to the air con wire. I mounted the thermal controller on the passenger side engine bay guard so they are close and if required could easily swap back, so the only difference is that the wire goes to they air con wiring at the compressor. There is probably no reason if you are only fitting 1 fan that you could set it up to be active by temp and air conditioner. One other thing I forgot to ask is are you using it in front of the radiator / intercooler or behind the radiator to draw? I did originally have mine set up so would come on with just accessories on ignition, but was a PIA especially when sitting on a hot day with the radio on or parked up fishing etc and the fans continue running until the coolant where the sensor is cools. This can take a while as it is in the top hose and as not circulating takes ages to cool. I suppose if you can get a sensor into the radiator somewhere it may be more effective.
As said I have 2 fans in front of the radiator it is a tight fit but does fit in with some mods to the bonnet support struts.
Cheers
Craig
