    Compressed height of D130 suspension

Can i call on someone with a new or relatively young D130 with stock suspension to do a few quick measurements for me. I don't need a 110 because they run different rated coils to the 130. I don't need measurements of aftermarket coils.

I need the suspension compressed height of all 4 corners. The measurement is to be taken on the outside of the coil closest to the inside of the wheel (i.e. in line with the axle) and only measure the coil height (not the mounting plates). For the front it is easy because you have access to the top and bottom face of the coil. For the rear the coil sits in the hanger so just take it from the mid point on the roll of the hanger to give an approx of the top of the coil. 1 or 2 mm variance is inconsequential.

If you are carrying accessories (bullbar/winch/steel tray etc) can you list them so i can make comparison and adjustment if necessary.

In the interest of giving so I may receive FYI stock D130 coils are:

Front Drivers 15.3" free length, 225 lbs/in linear
Front Pass 14.8" free length, 225 lbs/in linear
    Rears 16.5" free length, 270 to 420 lbs/in progressive

I measured mine to be 15.5" and 15" for the fronts but i could be accused of not employing scientific technique. I have aftermarket coils and can't be arsed swapping in the factory coils to do the measurements.

(NB: i couldn't find these numbers quoted on LR material and the info was sourced from the web, which seemed to be honest)

LR specs D130 quote bump stop clearance:
    Front 97mm (+/- 15mm)
    Rear 152mm (+/- 15mm)

(as quoted by LR) measured vertically from the top of the axle bump stop plate to the underside of the bump stop. NB: the measurements of the 110 are different to the 130.

This link is for measurements from my 130 HCPU., when it was relatively young
    88 front
    130 rear

Note: DEFENDER: ride height is measured vertically from the top of the axle bump stop plate to the underside of the bump stop.

LR specs you got off the net agree with official LR spec publication

Thanks Grappler. I was hoping for the coil length measurement. Bump stop clearance is a little hit and miss between vehicles and for my needs is an irrelevant value.

This has prompted me to recheck the ride height 2.5 years and 40K down the track

Amazing- the rear is exactly the same
Front had dropped 3mm, but Ive added a winch since.
This is the original factory suspension and it gets a daily run on corry track

MLD If you add 195 mm to front ride height you will get the spring length you were looking for =(280)
ad 220 to the rear =(350). This assumes the vehicle is on level and your bump stops are in good condition ie not squashed or bits missing
