    Land Rover Recaro Seats

Due to constant production delays I canceled my Def 90 order and jumped on one ear marked for dealer stock! - in the process I have lost out on the Factory fitted Leather comfort Seats, so I have ordered the Recaro dealer fitted seats ( Land rover branded seats).

I have a fair size rear end and wear a size 40/42 as I am no Jockey I have a concern that my ass won't fit in the seat, Can anyone help?

I have Recaros in my D2 and I am 116Kg and 189CM and take 42jockeys.
    I find them super comfortable.
They do tend to move your thighs inward a bit, towards the front of the seat as the bolsters are highest there But this gives great support in corners. I have pretty big thighs from exercise and weight training.

My Recaros are NOS made in the mid 90s but I think they will be the same.

I have recaro expert s & l series in my rangie, now I'm 195cm tall and solid build, I found the lower bolsters dug into my thighs and it was rather painful, so I just bent them out a little, now both myself the wifey find it way more comfy than her amarok

Did you price them first or just order them cost unknown?

I did get the price - a rip off !!! but I wanted the original Land Rover ones for various reasons. But I do feel a bit ****ed off. $9500...now you going to tell me I could have bought them at half the price

    No... Unfortunately...

My SVX has factory Recaro's, I assume the same as the ones you ordered.

You won't be disappointed at all. They are Supa comfy even after lots of hours in the truck.

I reckon your size 40 will fit in no prob at all.

I'm kind of in the opposite position. I've put a deposit down one a D90 due for delivery early march, which has factory fitted contrast grey leather seats. As this was part of Land Rover's main event promotion. I decided to go with this one due to the savings of dealer delivery, on-roads etc... I was really wanting the standard seats and then upgrade the fronts to Recaro Sportster CSs.

I have been quoted 3 grand for each Recaro CS seat from the importers Ideal Seat and also the two ARB stores here on the Goldy. The seats also need compliance, as they're not factory fitted.

The factory leather seats will no doubt be nice but since the two rears will be out more so then in, I think they're too good to not be in the car.

    Cheers,
    Tim
