Turbo Heat Shield Bracket, 2.4 Puma

The heat shield above the exhaust manifold and turbo, is fastened to a bracket, which runs along the manifold. This bracket has fractured and is causing a rattle.
Does anyone know the part number, or where I could find the part number.

If you can take it off, if you can, or know someone who can, weld it, and put it back on.

As Chops said. Welded mine about 40,000km ago, still going strong, rattle gone. If you take it off and take both parts of the broken bracket to any metal fabrication shop, they should be able to weld it in a couple of minutes.

It must be a common problem , mine also snapped . It comes off fairly easy , any exhaust workshop should have a mig that should be able to weld It up for you !!.. Jim

They break regularly but they're cheap if you shop around - ordered three last time to spread the shipping costs around:LWQ500190

Yes common fault, as already mentioned, we also just weld the bracket as its quicker than ordering a replacement one that will also break.

Could you modify the bracket with a brace to prevent future breakages?
