Help me,. I have had red wine, SA lost the cricket, and Betty is blowing...

...hot air ( my new 90 with 300km on the clock)

When I drive more than 20 or so Km and travel over 60kmph and then I drop my hand next to the left inside rail of my drivers seat, it's like a little blow dryer blowing hot air ( the same on the right of the passenger seat..

Now I know a landy leaks, I have owend some in the past, I know the floor board get hot, I know you hear gravel spatter against the under body.....but surely I don't need a little blow dryer ( very hot BTW) heating up my left thigh ???

The dealer gives me the impression this may be a idiosyncrasie of a landy and I like this about a landy but some how this seems to take it a bit far...

 Any comments??

Pleas excuse brevities and gramma and spelling.... I am drunk, deslexsic ( honestly) upset and have a hot left thigh

We had the same thing with the aircon on our 90 when it was new. One of the hoses had either split or come off and the aircon needed regassing. They siad it happened in the factory.

We had it back the next day after they overnighted replacement parts.

Take it back to the dealer to get them to check it.

Oh and bad luck about the cricket saved them losing the next one.

Just re-read your post. I may be off the mark with the aircon. I find with both off ours on long drives if you don't have the aircon on it can get pretty hot around the feet.

I would think maybe something hasn't been fitted, like the sealing pad around the gear shift, somewhere where there is a big hole in the trans tunnel that would let air in if not sealed. My theory being it gets heated by the transmission and exhaust, gets inside and is flowing under the transmission tunnel cover and getting out on your leg.
 Probably not but never know

My other thought re reading that is maybe the cover under the cubby box is sitting up a bit? Maybe not screwed down properly or missing a seal?

My thought is the plate under the cubby box is not sealed as it should be as others have said.
The cubby box is only held down with 4 screws so take it out and go for a drive and pin point where the air is getting in.

Have you found a solution to this. I've been checking mine as I'm driving and you didn't say which direction the air was blowing from, the floor or from the engine bay. Putting my hand down next to the seat and I can feel air blowing from the foot blowers on the heating/cooling unit. So its possible the heater unit isn't connected properly.

I would get it fixed. My 110 is less than 6 months old and the AC is very cold. Without it on the car does warm up a bit but nothing unbearable.

The only thing (which we laugh about) is the AC seems to only have two temps - icy cold or bloody hot. We use the fan and windows to then regulate the overall temp!

I have decided to not have the dealer adjust it because I prefer to keep it as icy cold as possible. Much needed here in WA especially as it is santorini black.
