It sounds like it could be the ABS, alternatively it could be the DSC if the wheels are trying to maintain traction. We have a roundabout near us that even at slow speeds because of the camber the DSC kicks in giving a bit of vibration when trying to accelerate. It doesn't do it with the DSC off but I can feel the wheels trying to slip. The 110 without DSC doesn't do it so I put it down to the wheelbase.
Straight line as I am about to stop under gentle braking

Sorry to change the cause of the problem, but after playing around today it appears to be clutch related or when clutching in or out during braking that gives me this GGrrhhh noise and slight vibration.

Please help guys I don,t what the dealer to try baffle to avoid them having to do a thorough investigation.

Sorry Louis could you explain this again? I think I may have missed the point and I'm confused.

What are the engine revs showing and what gear are you in when this happens?

The reves are at idle travelling below 5kmph - clutch in and I am easing off on the break pressure. Yesterday I played around and when she was in neutral and I wile breaking gently pressed and released the clutch. The noise was more frequent and I get the impression it is felt through the break but may be clutch related.

    ABS modulation

It sounds like the ABS modulation. I get it occasionally in my 110.

    My thoughts as well.

As the vehicle is under warranty, you need to find a dealer that can sort your problem.

Maybe someone will chime in with one in your area that has a good reputation.

The issue needs to be sorted by LRA.

    ABS

My understanding is that on occasion the wheel speed sensors pick up borderline discrepancies in wheel speed and operate the ABS just briefly.
Mine will do it occasionally when mounting a kerb etc. As long as it is only intermittent then likely there is no fault or issue.

Mine has done it once in a while for 4 years since I have had it. When I say once in a while it may be once in a month or so.

Given land rover Australia's inability to diagnose and fix simple issues I have not bothered in getting them to look at it as I doubt anything would be resolved.

My TD5 would also do it on occasion so I would say it is quite within normal operation.

    Cheers

    Giles
