Defender 110 Crew cab spare parts

After many years of admiring the defender, I've made the decision to join "the Family" and finally bought one. Without ever driving one I bought a 2010 defender 110 crew cab off cars.com out of Sydney. By the time I managed to get out of the Sydney traffic and on to the open road heading north to the Sunshine Coast I was in love with this car. My wife is still trying to understand it the attraction with it. My decision to buy one now was to get one while you still can and maybe one day pass it down to one of the boys. Question.... Will getting spare parts be a problem in the near future given production is about to stop?

well done really like the crew cabs..see if you can post a pic so we all can admire it. You can still buy spare parts for 60 year old landrovers..

Just trying to figure out how to post a photo on this thread. It's taking me longer than it did for me to find the battery under the seat!!

Finally here's a picture. No that's not oil. Not sure where to start with adding any bling. Part of me really like it "old school"

Most spare parts for Landrovers up to fifty or more years old are still readily available, and even by most standards cheap. There is no reason to expect yours will be different, although crew cabs are relatively rare, so the few bits specific to it may become hard to find down the track.

Very nice there fella. I too was like you and bought one never having driven one before to use as my daily driver to and from work. I love it as she sits at a 100Km no bother under no stress and i do so like the high driving position too......

    thanks John
I really want to keep this girl in good order so the kids can experience driving it when they get older. As the above post alluded to, I'm guessing rust is going to be the big challenge especially living up here on the sunny coast. I was recently given advice about how to best protect the car from rust if I plan to do any beach driving.... use SEC and you'll never have a problem ( Someone Else's Car)
