    Clutch pedal assistance spring upgrade.

Having a look at my Puma Rave CD from https://www.davesitshop.com/emporium/ I came across a service bulletin, LD30-002.
Basically it replaces the return spring from what I can work out to reduce pedal effort.
Has anyone had this done to their Defender and what was the outcome?
While we both find the pedal manageable it is heavy so thought it may be worth pursuing if the results are there.
    Cheers, Kyle

On the pre puma defenders I always took one spring off the clutch. Made a difference to the stiff use of the pedal but no difference to its return.

Yup it's worth doing. Gives it a lighter and different type action.
I try and find a thread for you.

I was on forum runner on my phone so didn't know how to add it in this post.
When you do the spring it's handy to pull off the clutch master cylinder cover near the actuating arm and get someone to help and place a piece of wood or handle of a hammer into the slot when you press the pedal to the floor.
This helps keep the pedal down whilst working on it.
You can also lubricate the pivot point in there before reinstalling the cover.
I also had a squeaking pedal for a while and had to pull off the master cylinder boot and lubricate inside the outer barrel.
Squeak disappeared and pedal action was smoother.
