Thanks Azza, which EGR bypass map did you have done?
EGR bypass map done.
Wound the tune up as it is now not limited by the egr pressures and feels alot smoother down low. Holds gears extremely well on all hills.
I will wait a few tanks before finding the gains in fuel economy.

Thanks, intriguing.
Back to original post re oil filter...who's found the best value supplier of genuine 2.2 filters and correct Castrol oil?
I recently bought a genuine spin on filter for the 2.2 for $34 from the dealer. They initially tried to get $42 out of me!
Also, today I ordered a 20L drum of Castrol Edge Professional A5, 5w30 (the correct oil for a non-DPF 2.2 puma) for $215.
Cheers
Tom

Excuse my ignorance but how do you go about getting a remap done? Who does it? Thanks.
Pete
The two places on the top of my map list would be either
BAS Performance Remaps. Landrover tuning at its best!
or
Alive Tuning
Either drop Pete at bellautoservices or Gary at Alive, a line. Both have put a hell of a lot of time and research into the products they offer, and will answer any questions you may have.
My 2 would be BAS and then IRB...
Howzit Tom just a quick question on the above
By long term solution do you mean once the warranty is up after 3 years (2 left on mine) you would then get the remap done instead of just unplugging it? I imagine you wouldn't get it flashed while the dealer is still is taking care of it?
Thanks in advance
As already mentioned, you will only have to deal with the oil in the spin on filter.
Just as a side note, there is a small amount of 2.2lt, first model that used the oil filter cartridge the same as the 2.4lt, same position just a bit more messy to change out.
Keep in mind either way, its the soot content and other impurities that load up in the oil that is the biggest issue, that the filter wont filter. But IMHO... I've actually always done 5000km oil changes on my own vehicles. No its not something I promote as 10,000km servicing is perfectly acceptable, but the choice is yours...
