Thread: Clutch pedal spring.

Hi all.
I've just done the clutch pedal spring mod to the Defender. It certainly has improved the pressure required to hold the pedal to the floor but there is now a definite two stage feel to the pedal. It's not smooth all the way. It's also like the spring is keeping the pedal down slightly as it sort of feels slow to come up. Sort of like a slight delay.
I've check verious references and I can't see that I've fitted it incorrectly but the ends of the spring where it locates either side of the pedal seem slightly bent inwards.
Anybody had this problem?

I did notice the same thing when I did mine. I don't notice it anymore.
Keep driving it for a few weeks and you'll adapt to it.
I don't notice that weird feeling anymore.
