    Lubing Puma Axles

When I took delivery of our new 130, I thought I would be a little pro active and pop the rubber cap off the drive flange to inspect the splines - Brand spanking new and full of rust dust already
After reading a few posts I decided to pack the caps only with Moly grease to try to delay spline wear - I was dubious this would make its way fully into the splines without removing them.
The pupose of this thread is to show the results after 11,000 km. You can see from the attached pics that the Moly grease has completed penetrated the splines to the rear of the flange and there is zero wear detectable at this stage.
This is a highly successful, easy, low cost job that is worth taking the time to do.

Mate,I don't want to sound negative but your re-arranging the deck chairs on the Titanic,UK sourced after market flanges are really cheap and if moly lubed like you have done every 20K you can save your original axles, the axles will still wear doing what you are doing and that will cost you much more down the road.
