Exactly what I was told from Austral in BNE.

The dealer in Mackay assures me anytime whilst car is in warranty

Surprised as i see you're in Perth and hence dealing with Barbagellos - when i asked about extended warranty for me 110 (only out of interest really), was told that this was not available on Defenders.

Yes, same here when we purchased Gracie in 2013.
Never really considered E.W., but when looking through the books/warranty conditions etc shortly after purchase, I did ask the question, and was told E.W. was not available on Defender.
I suppose one could always buy an aftermarket one, but they're not worth a pinch of **** IMHO, and they have so many conditions, ya need to be lawyer to understand them.

    Eric Insurance Extended Warranty

    Hi ladies and gents,

Interesting to read the replies. I am keen to hear peoples specific advice and experiences on Eric Insurance extended warranty, in general and for Defenders specifically.

I couldn't get an extended factory warranty for a 2015 110 Defender. I have a quite from Eric for the 5 star, 3year, 200,000 km warranty at $2330. There does seem to be a hell of a lot of exclusions but I guess that is the usual. But keen to hear peoples advice.

    Thank you!

No experience with that one at all.
Maybe I'm biased, having had a bit to do with M.V. Dealerships sellling these products, I reckon they're a rip off.
And, IMHO, a THREE YEAR, 200,000KLM cover for just $2330, when one looks at the cost of work these days, would have PLENTY of "exclusions"......read very carefully.

i have a mate who used them with his D4 and had a good run with them. I took the LR offered extended warranty with mine and had multiple items declined. YMMV.

Difficult to find anything positive about 'aftermarket' extended warranty.

After reading through all the exclusions.....what exactly is covered ?
    What's the maximum payout ?

Thank you Pickles, Plusnq and Gromit. I will review the exclusions again and consider. It’s difficult as the exclusions are vague - that is deliberate I assume. Will look at that and the max payout.

    Thank you.
