Thread: TD5 defender 110 fuel pump

Ok good news first my normally noisy fuel pump is now quiet bad news is I can't go over 40kmh so leads me to suspect my pump is nearly dead after loosing power last night on way home from work and having to limp home.

Problem I went to order new pump today only to be told the pump they have he doesnt think suits my car, the pump I went to purchase is for a 110 defender from vin XA 159807 on...

My defender is a 2004 TD5 defender 110 with Vin : SALLDHM573V050762 so was wondering if any of you very wise people would be able to confirm for me if the above pump will fit mine i would have thought all TD5 110 defenders ran the same fuel pump but who knows with Land Rover..

I have the same problem & have just ordered a VDO pump, part number WFX 000260. The VDO part number is 228-226-004-002Z. I believe that is for every post 1999 Defender, as my chassis is XA173630
Everyone I've spoken to say that its money wasted on any other brand.
