Should I make an effort to vary the speed on the way home and do I need to keep the speed down or can I drive normally? I am a bit worried of such a long trip as first journey.
    Thanks again

    300km hey

Mrs Tombies D90 did 1200km on the day of collection to get home

Just vary your speed, use the gears... Load it up a little on hills (but not too much) and dont be afraid to rev it a bit...

Smile Mate you're gunna luv it.

Congratulations on your new 110. Check it over before you do the drive home. Take it easy and every thing about it will soon begin to make sense. Don't forget the wave.
    Cheers, Billy.
    Keeping it simple is complicated.

Hope it went well for you. Don't rush the gear changes - slow and steady is the go, with the clutch out before you press the go pedal.

Just home and I miss calculated it is more than 300km and I am quite tired but very happy. The car is perfect just one annoying thing, the sales guys took the car for a drive with me and when he got out he flicked off the seat belt and it hit the newly tinted from passenger window and it put a small mark on the tint film (very small really). He did not do it on purpose, actually he did not even notice he had done it but it peed me off all the same. Anyway he has been great and very helpful so I just let it go, but I do wonder if the mark can be fixed somehow?
I drove a the couple of hours to Cardwell and then the 2.5 hours home and no back ache!!!!
    I love this car
    More tomorrow and some pics

Some food later I am feeling refreshed. I love this car . A few questions.. It was raining and there is quite a bit of noise from the rear as there is little sound dead insulation at the back. What do you guys do, is there a pre made liner for the back? Even a stone scares the bleep out of me it is so loud. What tire pressures do you guys run?
I have a feeling I will be doing quite a bit of driving in the next few weeks I cant believe I finally have a Defender AND driving for me with two shot discs had become a real pain in the butt I used to love driving but 40km and the pain of the sitting position became teeth gritting. Going to Townsville in my Nissan was horrible, but coming home in the Defender was a total joy with NO PAIN AT ALL in 4.5 hours on the road driving is fun again
