Where do you guys mount your electric trailer brakes?

    HI everyone,
I need to find a location where to fit my electric trailer brake thingy. Maybe I need one that you just see the switch as I honestly cant see where I could mount the box type.
Any issues getting dash bits out to mount the switch?
    Cheers
    Chris

Mine is on the front face of the glove box, it's a good spot for me as I can easily adjust the trailer brakes without taking my eyes off the road, the other advantage is that the wiring is easy to come up into the battery box, and then tucked under the glove box.

Mine's also on the right front edge of the box. Easy to use the over-ride or adjust.

I have mine on the side of the cubby box closest to the driver toward the front.... fits nicely between the seat and the cubby box.

We've got a Tekonsha Prodigy P3. On the 2015MY it fits on the door side of the steering wheel above the little shelf. On the 2014MY I had to cut the corner of the shroud for it to fit but you can't see it anyway. Its out the way although if you're not careful you can bump it with your knee getting in and out of the car.

I think there might be pictures on my build thread.

    Electric Brake Controller location.

    Hi.
    My vehicle is a '97 Defender 110 300tdi.

The instructions that come with the units advise that the best locations for a R.H. drive vehicle are on the left hand side of the steering wheel and that they should come to hand easily.

An advantage of being in this area is that in an emergency, a front seat passenger could assist by operating the controller while the driver tries to manage the steering wheel and parking brake.

I have mounted my controller on the face of the aircon duct, just forward of the parking brake lever. It can be reached without having to lean forward.
I can easily adjust the gain, apply the manual lever and can see the read-out.

I've got the Prodigy P3 too, and its mounted directly in front of the H/L lever on the firewall.
Out of the way, easy to reach and use.

Interesting theory, in an emergency I don't want anyone interfering with my taking emergency action so I definitely don't them touching the brakes.

I've also got a P3 and mounted it to the heater box in front of the High Low lever.
Easy to reach for tweaking the settings when going from tar to dirt.
I also get a full view of the screen with out it being to bright.
    Cheers, Kyle
