There a very basic set up , the problem is they go dry , plus the fixing mechanism is soft metal and the cable can slip , I would take the dash off and have a look . It's only 4 Phillips screws . If you think It needs a bit of lube , give It a squirt with a bit of penetrating oil . I hope this helps !!.. Jim

Front binnacle off. Very easy to see what's going on with the controls.

As to adjusting, it's pretty easy. The cables can slip causing the flaps to interfere with airflow. This made a huge difference on my 110.

Tyres to pull the binical off before what a mess it is behind there and there's no way I can get my hand in to disconnect the half broken speedo cable so I just sprayed some lube in and disconnected the cable at the heater box and sprayed lube back up the cable one finger can use the fan control now

Yes they can be a bit daunting behind the binicle , Not sure about your model , but I thought the speedo cable was held in place with a clip on the end of the cable . They do pull out a way before they stop . The wiring is all over the place , It's pretty tough you can pull It about . Glad to hear you got the lever to work !!.. Jim
