    Bullbar choices for Defender 110

    Hi All,

I'm currently trying to decide on a bullbar for my 110.

Dealer has the option of an ARB or genuine LR bullbar.

My wife has the ARB bullbar on her D90 - looks great and strong (as we found out one day )

Anyone got any pics and/or experience of the genuine LR bullbar?

    Many thanks
    Shaun

    thanks Pocket Rocket,

Now I have even more choice. Plus i got distracted by the stainless steel replacement covers for the air intakes.

Interested to hear about your experience re the strength of the ARB bar. Many think it sits too close to the fenders. I have one, good to hear it's strong, I like it. Cheers.

Happy with my ARB. APT Fabrications lists a Defender bullbar for $1150.

I've got an ARB Commercial style bar with no fancy bits, just a tab for a radio arial.
There's no doubt from it's weight it'll stand up to quite heavy knocks but have yet to hit anything thankfully.
I think if was to ever buy another Deafener I'd look at the TJM model which is straight across the front of the vehicle and more complimentary to it's square looks.

Most Defenders that come in to me or ones that I have fitted the bar are using the ARB Deluxe bar.

Here is a link, the white 130 pictured has the standard (or commercial bar) ARB bar fitted, but it is a few years old so I'm not sure if that bar is still available.

The lower pic of a green puma shows the ARB Deluxe bar fitted, the side angles. approaches are better and its also a slightly lightly bar in weight.

the last genuine Land Rover steel bar I saw fitted on a TD5 sat out way too much on the front.

Hi Shaun , I'm not sure what make of bar you wont , If you go ARB , I was in the Melbourne store not that long ago , The salesman was telling me that you can still get both styles of there winch bar , as they still make them both . The Newer model is difficult to get your hand on the spool lever on a winch , It is recommended you put the lever underneath . Thats not a good place , and is poor design . You may not wont a winch , if you do and go ARB It's something to think about !!.. Jim
