    Stefan might chime in on the single DIN fold out GPS head unit. Stealing his story, the arm mechanism that holds the screen out failed with the pounding of corrugations. If i remember right it wouldn't retract. Something to think about if your vehicle spends a lot of time as an outback touring vehicle.

    Iain knowing your vehicle's purpose you might encounter similar problems with long term use.

    I'm following this thread too as a double DIN GPS head unit would be a nice addition to the interior of the defender. However for the cost of the whole set up it's in the "that would be nice if i won lotto" column for the moment.

    Agree it's not a cheap option .......but I want it as a satnav and reversing camera
    And on some of the trips I've done anything tat is not very firmly fixed in would be useless ......I'm hoping someone who has gone to the expense and trouble of fitting a 2 din might be able to answer my question before I spend the big dollars
