That rubber smell will go.. I have had mine for nearly 5 months now, and I don't notice the rubber smell anymore.

So, I'm very doubtful, but if it's true that you have an upgraded engine, I'll be very happy for you.

I love the exhaust note I know that I'm going to love driving this Land Rover . I couldn't help feeling a bit nostalgic when driving my new car home . It brought me back to the first Land Rover that I brought . Way back in the early 70s . It was a 1969 , 109 2a hard top . It was Marine Blue and White , with a 2.5 BMC Diesel engine . I had to drive It from Chesterfield in Derbyshire , to Bedfordshire over 100miles . I can remember that wonderful feeling . So today all these years later , I had that same feeling . Jim
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but there has been an error and many new Defender (mine too) sold in Aus has had a addendum page added to the manual which was wrong. It should just been added for the special edition yours like mine is 90kw not 110kw.
Still mine goes great too so not worried it is just numbers
Congrats on your new truck I love mine to bits too I never had so much fun driving!!

I contacted the sales guy and he chased up the 110kw paper addendum page with Land Rover UK, they said the page was put in many book by accident when it was supposed to just be in the special edition.
I am happy with my power anyway.

Nope a 110, bought it in Coffs Harbour. Local dealers couldn't get me what I wanted for a "price". Tried several dealers in Melb. Almost bought that red one they had in the yard last month at MLR. The heated seats were a turn on!

Hi , one and all . Picked up the new 110 on Friday arvo , Saturday was miserable Melbourne day raining and cold . Did take the wife for a run not to far , " she doesn't share my enthusiasm " Sunday morning my son phoned , and asked Dad taking the kids up to the snow , do you wont to come ?First thing was check tyre pressure 43psi in rear , drop to 34psi Front ,to 30psi felt better straight away ! So a flask of hot coffee and off I went . We went up a logging track in the Victorian high country , In new 110 , rain drizzle , fog sleet , then Snow , gravel , corrugations , pot holes , sludge , plus steep hills until we got into the Snow , and had lunch . By now I'd done 180 ks . I like the suspension , just soaked It all up . As for the heater ! Wow does that blow hot . I don't know how cold It would have to be to put It on full ? The sound system , kept in touch with the radio station , even in the hills . Got home Sunday evening , by now 300 ks on the clock , the truck needs a wash already ! I'm sorry no photos , my son took some , I don't know how to post them . I will say that I am over the moon , so much better than I thought It would be !!.. Jim
