This looks like It's been doing a lot of turning , not the best place to have your Landy up there on the back of a tow truck , lets hope It's nothing major !!.. Jim

I don't know much about that car but looks like it's doing some kind of world trip.
    Thought someone might know it.

It looks like a standard German number plate configuration for a defender, like the one in the pic below.

Ron , the letter D is the German recognition letter . That doesn't prove It comes from there though . Why else would you put It on ? Jim

You've better eyes than me Jim, if you can see D on the number plate! Or are you referring to the D at the top right ?

Yes, German. The first few letters represent the district it is registered in; this one looks like HS - Heinsberg, right on the border with the Netherlands.

There is another land rover defender (a 110 hard top) on the German Ex-Tec site with what appears to be the same design on the doors.

    Ex-Tec expedition and rally equipment - kundenfahrzeug6

Wonder if it's a previous vehicle of the same owners or part of a tour group or rally or something like that..

Anyways, the 110 in Blade74's pic has the Ex-Tec stainless spare wheel holder,

Rear spare wheel holder Spare Wheel Carrier, Defender 110 SW, H - Ex-Tec GmbH

And also the full length Ex-Tec expedition roof rack.

    Roofrack "Expedition" - Ex-Tec GmbH

I've had a close look previously at the stuff made by Ex-Tec and it is all bloody well made.

    Regards,
    Mike.
