heaps of threads & info
Hi all,
I have just purchased a new 2015 2.2lt defender 130 and have heard that the computer is not "flashable" but needs to have a new chip soldered in. Any knowledge would be great.

I have a chip in a 2012 130, and find it great to push excessive fuel through. Turned it up en-route to Young, way down in NSW. On the expressway from Sydney to Young (I know there was a bit of corners country after the expressway) I pushed and steamed up hills passing other traffic and generally went for it, but no way near the speed limiter. It used 21L/100Km. No joke. It pulled a tandom van heading north at speed limit or better and used nearly the same.
I have turned the chip down now and am still using 12-13L/100Km. Not racing. So now I am thinking if I can sell the chip, I can get a BAS tune and perhaps do better.
For me, chip = fuel dump.
My opinion and experience.

Thanks lads. From what I have heard it's only the 2104 and 2015 2.2lt models that can't be flashed. The earlier 2.2 models can be.
Thanks mate. Can I ask who did it
Sure can. It was Bell Auto Services in England. Regarded by many as the last word in Land Rover tuning.
It can all be done remotely too.
Cheers
Tom
I would speak to Bruce from Davis Performance Land Rover. He really knows Landy's and your options.
