Have you changed the battery in the fob?

No, I haven't as yet. Been thinking of doing so just haven't gotten around to it yet. Not quite sure, but the battery in the fob seems okay as I can lock the car with just one push of the "lock" button from 30 metres away. It's unlocking with the fob that seems the issue.

But I guess a battery isn't expensive, and I have nothing to loose by trying a replacement.

You might find that needing to push the button several times to lock it is a warning sign the battery needs replacing. Was that way on our previous Disco.

My key fob batteries were replaced as part of the B service (40,000km / 36 month).
It was as simple as prying apart the key fob, pushing out the old and as quickly as possible replacing the new battery.

I was recommended 'every 2 years' for the key fob battery. I suppose it wouldn't hurt to replace it more regularly.

Just renewed both of our Fob batteries at the "B" Service, Gracie is 20ms old,...heard some funny stuff about what can happen if Fob battery goes flat, so thought it better to be safe than sorry.

I should probably dig out my spare key from its hiding place and test it at least.
