Yeah, I'll give them a ring on Monday. Between the oil and the filter it's $141.67. That'll go some way (a little way) towards my newly ordered BAS2 ECU upgrade -170BHP and 450NM:cool:.

My Defender is a MY2013 October build. Is it involved in the recall? I have had no advice fro LR to date.
Easiest way to check is to create an account on topix https://topix.landrover.jlrext.com/topix/user/loginForm which allows you to check all outstanding service programs for your own vehicle. To see the full details costs money, but the free account is useful, that was how I knew mine needed to go for the oil pump issue waaay before the letter from JLR.
Have your engine number handy when checking. Its on the front timing cover.
With mine, there was some confusion with the VIN but the engine number confirmed the recall was needed
Got the letter today and just booked it in for the 20th July, they have to i=order parts and I'm away (without the Tardis) till then. I haven't had any warning lights come on as of yet, shame I just had it serviced though as they could have done the oil and filter for me. Make's me wonder why they want to replace the sump though. I had a Jackaroo where the longer oil pick up bracket had a habit of breaking but nothing is attached to the sump, unless they have re-designed the oil pick up pipe or are fitting a larger oil pump and have had to re-design the sump to suit?
Sump is apparently well sealed to the crankcase & could be damaged during removal, hense a new sump is included in the "kit" of parts.....so I've read?
Pickles.
