Ill bet London to a brick they have invoiced them as well.
I spoke with the service dude at Southern Land Rover today and he has accepted they have made a mistake in charging me for the oil, filter and drain plug and readily offered to credit my card with the correction. I suggested I'd be happy if they can do a deal on a set of rubber floor mats, so he's going to get back to me tomorrow after checking with the Parts dept. All good so far.

Yes, the Defender domiciled rubber mats are good,...we have a 90 with the matching rear mat.

Fantastic service. I'm not only getting the genuine rubber mats, but the service manager is going to deliver them to my home in the weekend because they're not open in the weekend. Can't ask for better than that. I'm a happy Southern Land Rover customer.

    Oil pump recall

Sorry if this ends up as a duplicate thread, tried to post a short while ago but seems to have disappeared.

Have seen a few comments on oil pump recall for 2012/13 vehicles.

Slightly concerned as mine is H2 13. Being on the road any recall letter would have gone unnoticed to the redirected mail pile at a mates house.

Oil light is last to go out at ignition on, does not come on when driving.

Is this a recall issue on all 2012/13 or is there a VIN range, or have I misunderstood?

40k service booked for tomorrow, would be good to know what's what so can tackle the dealer when I drop off.

    Thanks

    Simon

    G'day Simon,
Have a read of this post...http://www.aulro.com/afvb/90-110-130...ml#post2364918
It's from this thread with a few pages of discussion if you want to have a longer read....
    http://www.aulro.com/afvb/90-110-130...-recall-4.html

    This is the basics,
    The Vin Range: LD405037 - LD443988.
The simplest way is to talk to any Land Rover dealer and ask them to check their system(TOPIx) and it will list any recall for your VIN.
This recall requires a oil pump, sump and some other bits.
New oil and a filter are included in the recall also.

If you get it done with your service you will not need to pay for your oil and filter so a few dollars will stay in your pocket
Double check your invoice though, a few have been caught out.

If you have no luck on finding out if yours is included or not slip me a PM with your VIN.
I'll can have a look on TOPIx for you(It'll be early afternoon before I can have a look).
    Cheers, Kyle

    Thanks Kyle, much appreciated

My VIN seems to be DA rather than LD, so perhaps not affected.

The dealer said he would check the system and let me know. He also said he has 2 customers waiting for the work, there seems to be a probl getting one of the parts.

    Simon
