Shannon's won't insure me because the accessories are valued at over 50% of the cars value.
The best agreed value I could get was $14,000. That wouldn't replace the basic car. Let alone the stuff I've done to it.
Has anyone tried or uses APIA. Good premiums but a Google search doesn't return many positive reviews. But I'm wondering if it's a case of only complaining when something goes wrong.

		I'm currently with APIA - 3 cars and house/contents.
Got a badly chipped windscreen last time in NSW about 18 months ago (on a bitumen road too). Initially they wanted to replace it with a generic, but I protested, saying they'd end up replacing it yet again because so many club members had problems with non genuine. They eventually came to the party and I'm still with them.
I've started another thread on a related subject that some may like to comment on at http://www.aulro.com/afvb/general-ch...s-options.html
Cheers

Shannons has been good for us, & costs $148.56/month for 7 vehicles, including the Series 1 107", TD5 Defender 110, Ancient Ford Courier ute, Grey Fergy, RRC, Citroen C3 (now gone), 2013 Peugeot 4007 (daily drive). The Citroen & Peugeot regular use, where the others are extreme limited use, & the Fergy confined to the property, which is fine for us. An added bonus is salvage rights for all the classic vehicles.
