You obviously have a selection to choose from so it will be interesting to see which ones put on the kms over the next 12 months. I got my Defender in Oct last year and have already put on about 24,000. Love it more every drive!

Well just on the fist 1,ooo kls So now can feel my 110 and have a good look at It . I can look at the pros and cons . There are some things I don't like , and many I do . I still have a td5 ,110 and an old county110 . So I do have two other 110 models to do the comparison . Let me do the dislikes first . I think the key should have been in the fob , or remote in the key , I find them bulky as a pair to carry in my pocket . The gearbox is OK but the gearing is not suited for city driving . Also 1st 2nd very short , I can see how backlash is a common fault with this model . Next the radio , I find to adjust the radio volume I knock It out of channel . On the plus side It is a lot quieter , Ideal for long touring , better seating . I've fitted a raised air intake , I was quite surprised how much grit was in the filter inlet , just behind the plastic grill . Dry dusty roads would be very hard on filters . It has good brakes , and suspension . Another thing is the engine is a modified Ford Transit engine , It sits a long way back in the already small engine bay , unlike the v8 or even td5 . All in all It's a good vehicle , and up until now I'm very pleased . I still drive the td5 . I prefer the r380 gear box , but that vehicle is no where near as quiet . So overall I'm pleased , watch this space !!.. Jim

SupporterG'day Jim, I've just spent 3 weeks back in a 130td5 that I haven't driven for 3 or so years..the puma is so far ahead of the td5, the gearbox is much tighter, and the power delivery is much more even..I found all of my pumas didn't free up fully untill about 30k, so get ready for it to settle in and enjoy!
