Not really, I'm planning on fitting them anyway but still want more capacity

I am fairly sure this has been discussed before and from memory was around 255/85/17s. I am fairly certain they fit fine. I would envisage if you go 35s you would be thinking a lift kit as well, as that will give a bit more clearance.
I have one in mine but I am only running 235/85/16s. There is more than ample gap for this and mine sits well within the rear quarter by about 50mm from the leading edge of the guard not including the flare which it sits very clear of.

I think you mean the Front Runner tank. I have one of these which I have run with 255/85/16 KM2 tyres. My tank was purchased new in June 2013.

It will rub, but not much. Enough to take the paint off... There are 2 things that I do to minimise the rubbing:

1. There's about 5mm of lattitue in the mounting position. Ensure that the tank is mounted as far back as possible.
2. Put your most worn tyre in the rear driver's side position.

You mentioned an extended bump stop - that might help (it certainly can't make it worse!), but I haven't tried it with the 255/85/16 tyres.

As for 35" tyres, forget it - it ain't gunna happen!

Yep, I'm talking about the Front Runner tank - I think Dolium is the Aussie importer, not actually sure who is the manufacturer (possibly Boab?).

There's a rumour that the tank has been slightly re shaped to take bigger tyres (not sure when though) but this is proving hard to confirm.

I'm just trying to figure out if a reshape plus extended bump stops might make 35s doable.

The rumour that they'd (already) been redesigned was around when I bought mine. I suggest that you contact Front Runner directly to confirm if/when a redesign occurred.

As for 35's... My current config on that vehicle is a 3" lift with HD springs (way too stiff), extended bump stops and 285/75/16 (approx 33") tyres. With this setup the tyres rub similarly to the 255/85/16 with standard suspension, so 35s are simply not going to work.

I have 35s on my other 110. It's a change that has consequences. If you're going to do it right then there's a LOT to consider when putting on 35s. Plus, you've got to live with them once you've done it. They're great for rock crawling but there's no way I'll be putting them on my touring 110... And touring would be the reason for putting in a 45L aux tank.

BTW, I'm really happy with the Front Runner tank. It's a great no fuss "install & forget" product, but make sure that your feeder line isn't unnecessarily exposed.

I'm quite torn around the 35s - I've followed the build of your Puma on 33s, do you have s similar thread for your 110 on 35s. I'd like to get a sense of the mods/issues you've done/had.
