Thread: What wires?

Hello again all,

I have re entered the fold of Land Rover ownership. ( don't be confused by my other posts about the D2. It is "hers" and I just fix it).

I now own another Defender. And I am going over it with a fine tooth comb before I get a RWC and register it.

I purchased it from an exemplary gent in Melbourne and drove it to Townsville the other week.

Very happy to be back in a Defender (even if the D2 reminds me how much nicer she is).

I was wondering what these 2 wires might be.

Its a 2000 Td5 130 the wires come from a brown plug. And the 2 I am wondering about are the 'white with purple trace' as it has an unused Scotch lock(devils invention) and the 'brown with green trace' which had the radio power cable just wrapped around the stripped back insulation.

I figures that the brown was ignition power.

Any further info on both would be greatly appreciated.

White/purple trace has been the fuel pump wire in the earlier LRs I've worked on.
