			Defender Air Con Thermostat

I have a 09 Defender 130 that has had the air conditioner thermostat chewed by mice, it sits inside the evaporator and to get the new thermostat LR sell you the whole evaporator for $1200.

The thermostat itself has "Jasco 1398-900-01 Switch Thermostat" but have no luck finding any "Jasco" items/stockists in Australia so I am left to get an auto electrician to wire up a non genuine thermostat.

Has anyone had the same troubles?

 What did you do/use?

 Thanks in advance,

 Hugh

That's weird, I was able to get a thermostat for the A/C without having to buy the whole coil box assembly.

I'll get the part number from the box tomorrow and post it here for your reference.

Yea that's right most of us have had one fitted under warranty. What happens when they fit another ****ty one & it needs replacing out of warranty? Has anyone fitted a new one w'out ripping the whole bloody dash out by cutting a hole in the under dash area then glueing it back in place? Surely somebody has studied the makings of it & done just that.
