Nanocom Group Buy
Am in the market for a tool as mentioned on the heading above.
I am sure some of the members here have a variety of tools to do that but need something which is simple to use and not with exorbitant price tag.
What prompted me to start looking is due to an engine symbol fault that I had after crossing a creek yesterday in the high country. Water at one stage came just below bonnet level, got out fine and defender was still running fine. After 30 mins the warning was gone. I suspected one of the contacts may have gone wet. Phew that was a relief!!!
One of the cars with us had a scan gauge (landcruiser)and he had a list of codes on paper that refers to if and when he gets faults.
Anyway that is the reason long way around.
Thanks in advance.

Get a BAS remap, you get a tool that can read and clear fault codes.

I also have the BAS remap, so I can use that tool for analysis and clearing too. In some ways that is much easier, and efficient for clearing faults. But, as I have the ultragauge plugged in and showing data as a set of gauges, I don't use the BAS tool. And fortunately, I have had no need as yet.
Cheers,
Phill.
BAS is very pricy and not on priority list at the moment. Will have to get something around the $400 mark. Looks like the nanocom bulk buy for $350 is a reasonable option. How does the ultra gauge compare with nanocom?
Hi Guys,
So what is the main differences between BAS, Nanocom and the other thingy mentioned?
I too am looking for a tool that can remap engine, clear fault codes and get me out of limp mode if possible.
Is there a thread where it breaks down the differences and lists there features and benefits?
I had the remap done at BDL last time and every time I had warranty work I had go back to BDL for re-mapping. There was no charge but it was a pain in the arse
