Hi,
Have a look on Johnny Apple seed

I used this mount
And used one of the big screws on top of the dash on the right hand side.
It holds an 8 inch tablet securely.
Cheers
G'Day All,
Sorry if this is a repeat thread. I've tried using the search function, but I can't seem to narrow it down effectively.
Anyone put one of these setups in their Landy?
RAM Pod I Universal No-Drill
I've got a Surface 3 in a UAG case, so the measurements seem right.
Looks pretty decent. I intend to run some mapping programs off it for more wild trips, as well as link the audio output into the face of the radio which should make it easier to navigate the music.
Thoughts?

I have used the following,
RAM V-Shape Base with 1" Ball for Rails and Yokes
It's clamped around the passenger front grab handle and with the appropriate ram arms, it doesn't move at all and no screwing into anything. It's also very manoeuvrable so that the screen can be positioned in front of the passenger or facing the driver with just a quick adjustment.
I use Ram Mount to mount my tablet and have been looking at moving to the Surface. Although I haven't used that particular mount my experience with Ram Mount has been good. Solid gear.

						A couple of bad pictures....
The part numbers (used for old ipad) are,
RAM-B-108BU (Clamp on base)
RAM-B-201-C (Long ARM)
RAM-HOL-AP8U and RAM-B-202 (Ipad holder)
I can take better pictures tonight if it helps.
I use the mount you've posted and I think it's the bee's knees. I thought vibration would be an issue off road but it's not. I use my iPad mini for Hema maps and the size is perfect and its distance isn't an issue for visibility either.
That mount requires no mods to the vehicle and is easily removed if necessary. I've never bothered as apart from some slight obstruction of the passenger's window button I don't really notice it's there.
Now this isn't unique to this mount, but the best use I've found for this gear is loading up Sex and the City or similar and handing my wife her noise cancelling headphones. Long-haul drives have become much easier now that this option is open.
300Tdi, but I ve mounted mine using the ashtray on top of the dash
