    Cut Off Order Date

    So,

I'm thinking of buying a new car and am thinking about a Defender 130.

I know they are nearing end of production but is/was there a deadline for ordering?

The only New Defenders able to be purchased are those in stock with dealers as of now and those the dealers have ordered that have been allocated to them and are due to arrive from now till March 2016 at the latest. For these dealer orders, there are no more spec changes allowed, so the order as it is currently in the Landrover system is how the car will arrive. As you can imagine, the stock of new defenders is selling quickly - there are a few 90s left, not many 110s left and even fewer (if any) 130s. I would say get on the phone tomorrow and ring all dealers nationally until you find one.. Good luck with the purchase..

I would suggest you'll be out of luck with a 130,....unfortunately I'd say you've left your run a bit late,.....the best you'll do now, IMHO, is a good Low K used one, if you can find one.

I thought it was too late as most coming into the country have been long odered but there are few gems tucked away still.

Today a friend of mine bought the last defender at any dealer in tasmania, a red 110 . He also owns possibly one of the very first in the state, a 1949 series 1 swb.

The Isuzu 110. Solid and as dependable as a rock, coming soon with auto box😊
The Range Rover L322 4.4.TTDV8 ....probably won't bother with the remap..😈

LOL, I chatted to some dodgy bloke wearing a 'you don't understand it's a Landrover thing' shirt on the plane from Hobart to Melbourne on Wednesday... it was him! He was so excited just to have bought the last 110 in Tasmania!
