Thread: Safari Snorkel Fitting Dimensions

Evening all

I received my Safari Snorkel in the mail today

In a bit of a dilemma as I'm fitting it to a County without a hole in the guard

Which means hacking a hole in the nice shiny fresh paint

Could I ask a favour of someone and get them to post up some dimensions. Ideally a 300 Tdi without a snorkel, I'm chasing measurements from the bulkhead join -> back edge of factory intake grille and top of guard -> top edge of factory intake grille

Hey mate

Got round to fitting that snorkel today

I ended up making a template to suit the indent on the snorkel, I then roughly sat the snorkel in place - corresponding to photos off the net, marked on the guard, cut out enough of the hole to allow the snorkel to fit against the guard, then marked around the outside of the snorkel, using the original template I then marked out the right shape to be cut out of the guard

Make sense
