haha yes reading this thread is making me laugh. I had to fly to Noosa from Sydney to buy a 130 that needs a total rebuild. The 15 hour drive home, with no tools and no plan B was great fun - so dont underestimate the adventure of a long haul to get one.

As some have said, a good one will come around every few months -but murphys law will guarantee they are never close to where you live. gumtree seem to be a better online market than the main stream carsales etc - and I've seen a few very good ones on gumtree for 12k- 15k with a lot of work done to them.

    Good luck mate !

    Thanks Andy,
Bit high in km, but a good price, no aircon though, I will have a think as that price gives room to do stuff if needed. Ideally I would love to find a good low km truck that has been well looked after.
Been a sod of a day so much for Christmas day... Last night picked up cow got changed went to inlaws. 6am woke up drove an hour to pick up cow again, then back to inlaws for lunch. Came back a couple of hours ago, cow fallen in only dodgy part of paddock typical!! Cow clearly been down for ages as bloated I was just in time. Get loader start to set her up in sling and monsoon rain starts sooo wet
Move cow to yards in poring rain get my F truck to collect all the stuff, bags of hay and shelter for cow, darn heap of ***** wont start!!!! I lay down under her in four inches of water trying to fix the bleeping thing now cold and super wet. Cow all good, now, but I am so over my F truck and rather over Christmas day too.
    Oh hum
    Ba humbug!!

    Wow Chris, you poor bugger!

Hopefully Boxing Day is a improvement. Had to just help Mum offload a lot of cattle cos it's so dry down here and cant support all of them. Shame cos they were pearlers!

    Thanks Alec,
The dry has hit us hard too, one of my best cows (always the way) we found dead by the top dam a few days ago and two registered breeders we bought before the dry are missing presumed dead. I rolled out a lot of hay just before the rain and there was two cows soooooo covered in ticks (they have just come out the hills not seen them for months) and thin big time I hope they will be ok. As soon as the rain stops they will get sprayed and separated and fed up if they make it. I am determined the cow I have been working on will make it too we cant loose anymore. I have three dams they have never been empty the massive one has a six inch deep pool in it and the dam is 300 meters by 150 meters and 8 meters deep. The front dam has an island it has never had and again it is maybe a foot or so deep. The back dam is a horrible sight..
Anyway finally raining I hope we get a lot more.

Yeah I hope you get as much as possible bar nasty flood.

Mum's big dam started off the summer at 1/8th full so didnt bode well. Sheep, horses, cattle and a massive bull to water through summer. They had to make a hard decision and offload 50% stock which was a shame.

Could be carting mains water up into to the paddocks pretty soon when the 4 big tanks dry up. Nearly just lost my dog as he drank some of the dam water and must have got a dose of algae or some bacteria that had grown in the heat and stagnation. He was crook!
