Easy way to check injectors is to drive the car and just turn ignition off. Or get it high in the rev range and back off. Either way your injectors wont be working. I third a manifold leak.
had a bit of a look see this evening,
injectors leak off test, runs with the comp hooked up
injectors out
endoskop showed lovley looking pistons. bores. spray pattern and valves, expected a lot worse with this milage

Thats more common on all types of motors than you think,cam repairs weld them up and regrind them. Pat

i reckon it is all down to servicing and using the right grades of lube
the owner of a engine and gearbox reckon workshop i know once said
if vehicle owner would half the miles between services and use the correct grade and quality of oil
transfer case included
it would but him out of buisiness
