I think it's a great solution, although it seems like the ones in the video stopped working at around the 45 second mark.
The springs you have may not be the correct rate, load yourself with all your stuff and fuel, then go and check your weight on a weigh bridge the maths doesn't lie.
I just completed a 12 month touring trip towing on the canning and the like,
I was pretty heavy so ran heavier rear springs with air bag helper springs to fine tune the ride between nice and soft but with rear end wallow for low speed with 3psi in the bags, or the bags at 35psi to stop the bottoming out on large whoops and higher speed to control the back end.

Our Disco is still having a issue with its back end on bumpy section of tracks.

We are using a Ironmann Suspension setup at the moment, springs and shocks.
Airbags inside the rear springs. Runs ok on most surfaces, it tends to loose ground contact on really heavy corrugations
Bumpy sand hills as often found on the Canning can turn the disco into a see saw

Thought about a double shock setup, airbag springs as per Range Rover LSE, even looked at 130 Defenders the longer wheel base makes a big difference to ride quality.

your setup must be similar to mine then, exept we don't tow

any docu on your trip, route taken

spring rates doesn't seem to be so crucial, as we've tried different sets of springs

king springs (didn't last long), LR HD (best so far), now the Ironmann, (maybe a little stiff, when emty), they handle more or less the same with the air bag helper springs, doing the adjustments.

i have not much faith in the Terra Firma Stuff either, there must be other products out there.

Do you have a link to the mounting system, do they mount them inside the coil like TF

This is the bump stop, they have a number of different variants depending on weight and travel. In terms of bore they come in 2" and 2.5", I am looking at the 2.5" They come in 2" and 4" length, I just need to measure my travel but my gut feel is I will need the 4"

And the mounts weld on, I have dislocation cones so mounting them into the spring hangers is not an option for me. I will just have a plate made up that bolts to the chassis.... It is on the cards for early in the new year to have a look at it all and work out exactly how it might work.....
