Not super cheap like it used to be ( due to the exchange rate). I fitted it to my Citroen CX quite a few back as they too suffer staggering heat transfer through the floors and did a writeup to it (that the seller has linked).

Catalytic converters are useless unless you care about pollution from your car.
Your engine will run a lot better without it. Lower egt, gets rid of turbo lag and you'll get rid of the red hot ball of steel wool sitting in your exhaust pipe turning your glove box into an oven.

Ive been banging on about this for a long time. Apparently both BAS and Alive tuning think different.......ive been told to keep some back pressure is the exhaust...even though the whole back pressure in diesel myth has been disproved.

My 2.2 is remaped, intercooled and decated and Centre muffler will be removed tomorrow

Maybe its something to do a vgt turbo having vanes that adjust, I could imagine the quicker spool up could wear them out quicker, this could be completely wrong of course, I have no prior experience with these turbos.
I've had other turbo diesels and I've put bigger size exhausts and dump pipes on all of them, they've all run heaps better.

Thinking about it, vgt turbos don't have a waste gate so, over boosting you would run the risk of damage.

The actuator is controlled by the ecu.....someone correct me if im wrong.

If thats the case how can you overspool? The actuator controls boost pressure/psi.

Someone tech saavy please confirm whether this is or isnt correct...

I run a boost gauge and it goes up to 18psi if I really boot it before dropping to 16,eggzackly like it did with the cat and muffler fitted.It's done 560km's and the light still hasn't come on,it NEVER did those K's with all the crap hanging off it and better yet,from an hour ago it's got a brand new drivers window.
