    Roof Corrosion

Just discovered some corrosion on my 2010 Defenders roof ,a bit on the rain gutter above the rear left little window glass and some more around some of the left alpine? glass. The paint is starting to bubble. Any tips how to tackle this problem will be appreciated.

    Similar problem on mine.
Panel beater will be fixing it for me though.

Very common issue. I had the exact same problem with my 2011 110. The repair was covered under the LR Corrosion Warranty...six years I think it is?
All good as new now, and no longer a gap in the rubber seal around that top window any more either. 100% happy!
As long as you have had the "corrosion inspection" section in your Service Record stamped with every service, they will fix it without issue mate.

The stealer I went to hasn't replied re fixing that yet..... and I doubt they'll do it as it was not serviced by them. Not that I can see as to whom services it would make any difference to corrosion.
Maybe the next owner will fix it as I can't be bothered.

Agreed, it shouldn't make any difference whatsoever who services your Deefer.
Mine was serviced by a dealer interstate, and the corrosion warranty claim was done here in SA at the Dealer in Adelaide. Sure...it took some time, but it got done eventually. In total I think it was around four weeks or so.
I couldn't stand knowing it was there...I had to get it fixed

Good info, appreciate this, will start to look at customers Defenders a lot closer for the same issue.
