What sort of noise?
One of mine used to create a buzzing noise at speed, but only when it was fully open. There was enough play in the hinge to allow it to flutter.
My solution was to stop one notch short of fully open.
I have a noise problem with my 2006 Defender 110. The driver's side air vent under the windscreen makes a very loud and annoying noise when I reach about 80km/h plus. It's periodic too, not constant. The noise only happens when the vent is open.
The left vent never makes any noise.
Has anyone had a similar opinion? I have had a look but can't see anything obvious.
Cheers

Have a look into the open vent from the outside. There may be something caught in there, like a leaf, that is causing the noise as the air rushes past it.
Don.
Yes a buzzing noise at speed. I have tried stopping one notch short but still makes the noise. There doesn't seem to be any debris stuck in there either.
I'll look at the hinge and see if it's loose. Thank you.
