If I remember correctly, a full roof lining for a Defender 110 (new) is over $2000.00 from Land Rover (Australia) spare parts.

There have been a few newer (Puma, TDCi') in wreckers lately...
I think that All4x4 at Kotara has recently got one in, don't know about the condition of the roof lining though.

Another place to try is eBay UK, a fair number of roof linings there for sale, but obviously you are buying site unseen and with extra issue of freight costs.

I have recently had the rear lining from my newest 90 (2013) replaced under warranty at Trivett Parramatta, and the front roof lining is currently undergoing replacement by Alto at St Leonards...
Both front and rear linings were flopping around like a dogs dick, I know that many other roof linings have been replaced as well recently under warranty because of dodgy clips and lining material, maybe try your local dealer and see if they will replace it?

Forgot about them, they usually have a good selection of bits.

Years ago when I removed my headlining (because the vinyl was separating and hanging down) I ended up gluing some thin MDF on the back to support it where it sagged and added some timber strips over the safari windows.
Still OK after 10 or so years.

I think where the fir tree clips went in it was a bit 'soft' but has held OK.

At the time, as mentioned, LR quoted about $2-3K for a new complete headlining.

Like a lot of us my lining was starting to sag in places . I took it all out , lined the underside of the roof with insulation . That made a big difference just on it own . I thought I'll have a go at gluing it back ! My thoughts were if it didn't work then I'm no worse off than before . So I brought some adhesive from Bunnings painted it on the hard part of the lining and stuck the vinyl back . I was pleased how it come out . It's been a few years now and still holding up fine !!..
