    Child restraints Defender 110 MY13

What do people do to get around the fact there are no restrains behind the 2nd row?

Where do people recommend to go to have anything engineered in Adelaide, SA?

    local engineer

Hi whilst not in Adelaide I have just had two puma Defenders done here in Sydney. After getting various quotes to $1500 per car and having to get 3 fittings --no we can't do one sir--we only supply a kit for three-- and this from two different companies even though I only wanted one in each car so son could use if towing my van cost was outrageous--so my local auto engineer --an accepted one by NSW RMS did one in each car for $450 each vehicle -- the dear part is the certificate, as all he had to do was remove the rear seat trim and make up a bracket to bolt onto the seat frame for the restraint bracket--pictures on websites for Defenders--so suggest you try someone like this as the big child restraint fitting stations overcharge.

I'm not in Adelaide either but got the load tie down points reinforced for child seats in Brisbane. X2 was around $250 certified.

I have an engineered bar bolted in above the rear door (it's shaped to go up and over the door). 3 child seat points attached to the bar. Means the straps run through the load space but they are high enough not to foul luggage unless you are really loading up above the height of the 2nd row

Same in my 2015 110. Works well and managed by fluke to line up all 3 mounts with my cargo barrier. So no cut to fit anchor straps through.
