How about you check all drive shaft bolts, make sure they're tight. I'd take the front shaft off, engage the centre diff lock and see if that makes any difference.Sounds like possible uni-joint.
hi all got a question in my pursuit of this juddering coming from the front of my 110,as stated in my previous post ive found on the left front ,the back lower spring seat nut has come undone nearly off the nut holding by the nylex, front one is as it should be, the handbrake housing has oil contamination,
now there is a violent clanging juddering from the front im hoping its the handbrake housing, I find it hard to believe this could cause a nut like that to come loose.would not the axle housing have to twist forward and how could only one come loose.
here are the exact problems from start up in the morning
1,slight slip on moving, off gear changes normal
2,landy warms up drives as it should
3,stop for a coffee park nose into gutter as I reverse back slight incline, its like the front wants to shake itself to bits quite unnerving
4,drive off will start to get clunky, gear changes are normal
5,is it possible for the handbrake housing to cause this
sometimes the shake will not happen at all for a couple of hours
6,front lower left spring seat nut, how could that come loose?
front drive shaft has done 40,000ks landy has a 2 inch lift
any advice, and I mean any would be appreciated. I know I post a lot of problems on the forum but im running out of ideas cheers

If you pull the handbrake lever up while its jerking does it change?
Regards.
Michael.
If you have oil in the handbrake, it is probably dragging, and is likely to cause the effect you are talking about. This will be exacerbated by free play anywhere in the drive line. It is also possible the handbrake backing plate is loose on the transfer case.
The nut on the bottom spring mount is, I presume the one on the shock absorber - I can't think of any other. It being loose is probably unrelated to the juddering although the vibrtion could have helped loosen it. From memory, it is selfl locking so even this should not have loosened it.
A check of whether the handbrake is dragging - if it is, the drum will get hot after driving. Careful, it could get pretty hot.

Most definitely check the things mentioned.
If nothing found, my experience would see me looking at clutch. Either contamination or failure of the friction material/ clutch housing.
If it goes away when warm as you posted, the likely hood of it being a simple mount or bolt loose is quite slim.
Pull the wading plug from the box and check for oil or coolant leaking.
